Old Table Leg Candle Holders

When I started Full of Great Ideas a couple of months ago, I had hoped I could do it with my sister Carol. Unfortunately, she is swamped with kids and work and isn't able to at this time. BUT she is sending me pictures of some of her amazing projects for me to share with you.

As mentioned before, my sister lives in an old 1890ish farm house so she can use beautiful rustic pieces that I can't always use in my decor. Having said that, I could put these beautiful candle holders anywhere in my house and they would look amazing! So here is my sister's first beautiful and extremely simple contribution to Full of Great Ideas.  Thanks Carol!

Carol had an old kitchen table with legs five that she picked up at an auction.  She cut the table down to make a beautiful hall table and in doing so she only needed 4 legs. Thus leaving her with one beautiful hand turned spindle that could not go to waste.
She cut the top off the spindle to make a flat surface and then cut the spindle into two staggered sizes.
She spray paint them black (or oil rubbed bronze) and when they were dry, she distressed them slightly with sandpaper.
Put some Dollar store candles and berries on the top and TA DA!  Look what she made for $4!!!!

Aren't they beautiful?  I only wish she had another leg so I could get a set of my own.  I will just have to keep my eyes open at local thrift shops and on 'large' item garbage nights.

Thanks again Carol.

  20. Since Yankee Candle candles do not release smoke, the aroma will last longer than those that release smoke, making it a great way to enjoy the room for a longer period of time. Click here to know more about yankee candles.

  21. When this type of chart is used, bearish investors do not want to use the moving average method. The long-legged doji candlesticks tend to show more price movement than do the short-legged dojis. Find more interesting information about long-legged doji.
